There are many hiking routes that go through and/or reach this wonderful waterfall in La Garrotxa. You will find a few of them on Wikiloc.
Although I love walking in nature, I must confess that, in this case, I have taken the easy route.
I was staying at the "Mas Can Batlle", very close to Santa Pau, when Albert told me about it. The big surprise is that the waterfall is located within the estate. There is a small path, easy to access and lasting 5 or 10 minutes. In reality, there are two waterfalls separated by a natural pool.
If you go in summer, don't go out without taking a bath... it's much appreciated to do so in water as clear as this. Be careful, because during the summer months (July and August), to avoid overcrowding, you need to book your ticket at this link.
For the rest of the year, simply let yourselves be captivated by this little wonder that nature has given us and, above all, turn off your cell phones and enjoy this unbeatable soundtrack.
In the pool area, it is not permitted to hold any kind of celebration or bring food or coolers for picnics. You can only bring the food you bring with you when you go on a route or excursion. I recommend that you visit the "Font Moixina" restaurant. You will enjoy quality local products.
I was lucky enough to go when the waterfall was full of water and it was amazing. Take advantage of the opportunity to discover La Garrotxa, which is one of the richest areas of nature in Catalonia. The visit to Fageda d'en Jordà or the walk to the Santa Margarita volcano are worth it!
I apologize because the photos don't do it justice. Please go and tell me if I'm right or not.
